
Community Transport schemes in North Somerset are aimed at providing fully accessible, efficient and affordable transport to members of the public who suffer with mobility problems. Community Transport Schemes are run by the community for the community.
Two types of Community Transport schemes operate in North Somerset; Community Transport minibus services, and car schemes.
Community transport groups typically operate fully accessible minibuses, suitable for most modern wheelchairs. Each scheme operates on a membership basis and you are usually eligible to join if you are elderly, disabled or find it difficult to use public transport. Diamond Travelcard bus pass holders are eligible for a discount on some Community Transport journeys.
