East Area

Bristol Taxi Sharing Scheme

Taxi-Sharing is a transport service for residents of Barton Hill, St Philip's and St Anne's. If you live in these areas, you can use it to travel by taxi for short local journeys, at a cost of just 50p per journey. The service is available from 07:00 to 19:00, 7 days a week.

Journeys must be booked in advance with the operator, Swift Line Taxis, and must be within the Taxi-Sharing area, as shown on the Taxi-Sharing Map. You can also use the service to link up with rail services at Lawrence Hill and Temple Meads stations, or to connect with local bus services.  Swift Line will match people’s journey requests where possible, so you are likely to be asked to share the taxi with other people making similar journeys.
