Shopping in BristolCentral AreaShopmobilityShopmobility is a scheme providing manual and powered wheelchairs, and scooters, to enable people with mobility impairments to shop and use other facilities in Broadmead, Cabot Circus and central Bristol. Anyone with mobility problems can use Shopmobility, whether through permanent or temporary impairment, illness, accident or age. Bristol Shopmobility is located on the ground floor of the Cabot Circus Car Park. Opening times are Monday to Sunday 10am - 5pm. We also have a satellite unit in the Mall (Galleries) Bristol which has part time opening hours. An escort service is available for people with a visual impairment . As Bristol Shopmobility is a charity, it does make a small charge for the service (£1 per hour or £5 per day). All monies raised through hire charges are used to purchase new mobility aids, and to help with the running costs of the scheme. On your first visit you will be required to complete a membership form and provide proof of identity (eg Driving Licence, pension book, utility bill). If you are not familiar with the use of powered scooters or wheelchairs, we will show you. We also offer a long term hire service for those who require equipment for a few days or even a few weeks to perhaps attend an event, go on holiday, or just discover how more accessible the locality becomes with a scooter or wheelchair. For further details or to book a scooter please ring: 0117 955 9083 (between 10am - 5pm or leave a telephone message)
